Complete ‘DigiLocker’ process to minimise processing time: Passport officer

Srinagar, July 28, KDC: The Regional Passport Office, Srinagar and Ladakh has said the applicants would not be required to carry the original documents at the PSKs/POPSKs provided the same is uploaded through DigiLocker.

Regional Passport Officer Srinagar and Ladakh, Davinder Kumar told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that “The applicants during online submission of application  at www passportindia. gov.in are advised to complete the “DigiLocker’ process of uploading the required supporting documents to minimize the overall processing time and seamless verification of documents at PSKs/POPSKs. Applicants would not be required to carry the original documents at the PSKs/POPSKs provided the same is uploaded through DigiLocker, he said.

The Ministry has further enhanced the acceptance of “Aadhaar document” through DigiLocker during online submission of application in the portal, Kumar said, adding that applicants are advised to complete the “DigiLocker upload” document process in the portal, in case “Aadhaar’ is submitted as one of the document for proof of Address/DOB.
