Srinagar, July 01, KDC: A lady was rescued after she allegedly jumped into river Jhelum at new Zainakadal Bridge in downtown area of summer capital Srinagar on Saturday.
Reports reaching news agency Kashmir Dot Com, said that an old aged lady name (withheld) resident of Kailashpora allegedly tried to end her life by jumping into river Jhelum at New Zainakadal Bridge.
They said after the incident locals rushed towards her and was immediately rescued. The lady has been shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment.
Police has taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation has been set into motion (KDC)
