Srinagar, July 01, KDC: A CRPF personnel allegedly ended his life by shooting himself with his service rifle in the Wazir Bagh area of summer capital Srinagar on Saturday.
Reports reaching news agency Kashmir Dot Com that a CRPF personnel name (withheld) of 117 battalion allegedly ended his life by shooting himself with his service rifle. The trooper, on being spotted in a pool of blood, was immediately rushed to a local hospital here, where doctors declared him dead.
A police officer confirmed the incident to KDC and said the proceedings have been launched into the incident. It was not immediately known what made the trooper take the extreme step. (KDC)
