Srinagar, Feb 14, KDC: Member of Parliament and former Congress president Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Srinagar on Wednesday on a personal visit, sources said.
Reliable sources told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Kashmir for five days from tomorrow.
They said this visit of Rahul Gandhi to Kashmir is purely a personal visit as he wants to take some time off his busy schedule. Rahul will be accompanied by his nephew.
Gandhi will arrive at Srinagar tomorrow and later go to Gulmarg where he is going to spend some days. It has also been learnt that the former J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah will also join him.
Pertinently, the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra had ended recently after covering 4,000 km across about a dozen states on its south-north route, with brief interruptions for rest and reunion.
The foot march that started from Kanyakumari in September culminated in Rahul Gandhi unfurling India’s flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. (KDC)
