Srinagar, Jan 23, KDC: Weatherman on Monday predicted widespread snowfall and moderate to heavy snowfall over the middle and higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir on 24 and 25 January.

An official from MeT told KDC that widespread moderate snowfall, rain in Jammu and moderate to heavy snowfall over middle and higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir very likely expected from 24th evening and 25th January.

He said that another Western disturbance may hit Jammu and Kashmir on 29th and 30th January.

Meanwhile, the MeT office has issued an advisory to people living in snow bound areas to remain alert and cautious while venturing in areas that are vulnerable to snow Avalanches.
