Srinagar, Jan 5, KDC: A moderate earthquake was felt across the parts of Jammu and Kashmir this evening, officials said.
A an official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that tremors, measuring 5.9 on Richter scale, were felt for several seconds at around 7:55:51 PM.
He said the epicentre of the earthquake was Hindu Kush Region, Afghanistan, (70.66°E 36.39 °N) and depth was 200 Km.
There were no immediate reports of any injury or damage to any property received from J&K so far. (KDC)
