Amid more rain in the last 24 hours, minimum temperatures recorded a decrease in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
Weatherman has forecast light to moderate rain at scattered places in J-K in next 24 hours.
A meteorological department official said, that in the last 24 hours till 8:30 am today, Jammu received rainfall of 49.2 mm followed by Katra (38.4mm), Batote (32.2mm), Kupwara (23.2 mm), Bhaderwah (16.1 mm), Kathua (10.8 mm), Banihal (2.6 mm), Pahalgam (0.4mm), Qazigund & Kokernag (0.2 mm) while Srinagar had traces.
Regarding minimum temperature, he said, there was decrease in mercury across J-K.
Srinagar, he said, recorded a low of 19.5°C against 22.4°C on the previous night. However, he said, the temperature was 1.2°C above normal during this time of the year for the summer capital.
