Srinagar 28 May (KDC): Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha Saturday visited the residence of a slain cop, Mudasir Sheikh, in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports reaching to news agency Kashmir Dot Com said that the LG Sinha visited the residence of the slain cop, who was killed in an encounter while fighting militants, to commiserate with the bereaved family.
LG, who was accompanied by other officials, met with the parents of Sheikh and expressed his condolences with them and prayed for the departed soul.
Pertinent to mention that Sheikh was killed in an encounter in the Kreeri area of Baramulla district on 25th May. In the operation, three foreign militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit were also killed. (KDC)
