Srinagar, May 18, KDC: Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Joint Commissioner Syed Abul Qasim on Wednesday held a weekly review meeting with the Sanitation, Revenue and Enforcement wings of the corporation.
According to an official hand-out by the corporation clear cut instructions were given to all the wings to improvise upon the progress report and work mechanism for quick disposal of different cases.
Directions were also given to regularly conduct anti polythene drives and anti-encroachment drives for clutter free footpaths and roads to ensure smooth flow of traffic and pedestrian movement.
The planning wing was directed to facilitate citizens better for hassle free building permissions.
Joint Commissioner SMC impressed upon the concerned officers of Planning wing for a quick disposal of building permission cases once the case reaches to different levels of officers on line so that the building permission is obtained within a stipulated time frame by the applicant.
The meeting was attended by several officers including heads of Sanitation, Revenue and enforcement besides other officials. (KDC)
