Srinagar 17 May: Part-time consolidated sweepers and helpers of health department on Tuesday staged protest outside the office of Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK), demanding implementation of Minimum Wages Act (MWA) under SRO 460 and their regularisation.
While assembling outside the DHSK office, the workers raised slogans and vehemently expressed their demands which include implementation of MWA and the regularization of their services.
Workers said that they have been serving the department with utmost dedication but their work has not been recognised by the concerned authorities as their demands remain unmet.
“If govt would not fulfill our demands within three days we will go for indefinite strike,” they said.
