Srinagar 12 May (KDC): A mentally unsound person on Thursday allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a river in Chandanwari area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that a mentally unsound person (name withheld), a resident of Salamabad Uri committed suicide after he jumped into the river.
Following the incident, police and other officials went to the spot. However, the body of the person was not retrieved immediately, they said, adding a rescue operation to fish out the body has been launched. (KDC)
