Srinagar. Mar 12, KDC: In a third attack on Panchayat members in the last three days, unidentified militants on Saturday attacked a Sarpanch in Arihal area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that unknown militants fired upon the Sarpanch identified as Ghulam Qadir near his home in Arihal village on Saturday afternoon. Mir escaped unhurt in this attack.
The whole area where Qadir was attacked has been cordoned off and massive searches have been launched to nab the attackers.
Qadir is the fourth Panchayat member to be attacked by militants in the last 10 days. (KDC)
