KULGAM, FEBURARY 11, KDC: To review the physical and financial status of the works taken up under District Capex Plan, 2021-22 and to accelerate the pace of developmental works with 100 percent expenditure, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam Dr. Bilal-Mohi-ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of Officers at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex, here.

On the occasion, sector wise status and details of the physical targets achieved till date was put forth before the DC by heads of these departments.

The meeting was informed that Rs.183 crore funds have been released and there is expenditure of Rs.125 crore and the percentage of expenditure is near about 68 percent.

The DC after taking   sector wise review of all works  directed the officers to ensure 100 percent expenditure of funds under  PHE, PDD, R&B, Education, Health, MGNREGA, PMGSY, NRLM, Fisheries Handicrafts, YSS, Labour, Social Welfare, ICDS and other sectors, besides under DDC, BDC and PRI grants.

The DC directed the officers to work in coordinated manner with line departments to achieve development goals well in time keeping in view the limited working season.

He stressed on authorities to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of ongoing works for their time-bound completion and 100 percent expenditure.

The DC exhorted for mobilizing men and machinery for completing the projects in stipulated time frame besides urged to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources.

He also asked the Officers to take strict action against the contractors who unnecessarily create hurdles and delay the developmental works by not fulfilling the formalities after allotment of works or do not complete the works in time.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, CPO, DPO, Ex. Engineers from R&B, PHE, Irrigation, Health, CEO and other concerned officers. (KDC)
