KULGAM, JANUARY 31: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting to review annual Urs arrangements of sufi saint Hazrat Syed Noor Shah Saheb Wali Bagdadi (RA).

At the outset, Auqaf members were apprised that there will be no permission to hold big gatherings this year in view of COVID-19 Pandemic.

It was also informed that the Urs of the saint will commence from February 01 while it shall be observed with reverence at Kund shrine till February 10.

The DC directed the officers to ensure uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water supply, proper sanitation measures besides healthcare facilities and security arrangements at Shrine.

He stressed for strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols in letter and spirit.

He also directed the concerned to repair defunct Street and high mast lights and lift Snow from shrine premises.

DDC member Kund, Gulzar Ahmad, ADC, Showkat Ahmad Rather Ex. Engineers  from PDD, PMGSY, Jal Shakti and MED besides Eos, Dy.SP and other officers, members of local Auqaf Committee attended the meeting.
