Srinagar, Nov 17, KDC: All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) has appealed to Hurriyat Conference to defer the strike call given against the civilian killings of Hyderpora encounter on November 19 Friday as it coincides with birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Ji.

In a statement to news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) APSCC Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina said that the Committee is equally concerned about the killing of civilians in the Hyderpora encounter. Raina condemned the civilian killings and demanded a fair probe in the whole matter.

“Whenever any innocent gets killed the whole humanity is bled. It is important that the bodies of civilians killed in the encounter are handed over to their family members so that they perform the last rites according to their religious obligations,” said Raina

The APSCC Chairman said that since Guru Nanak’s birthday is being celebrated on November 19 it would be highly appreciated that the strike call is deferred by a day. He appealed to the Hurriyat Conference to issue a revised strike call. (KDC)
