Jammu and Kashmir Students Association on Saturday expressed gratitude to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, his Advisor Amit Arya and J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for their immediate intervention in thrashing incident of Kashmiri youth in Haryana. In a statement issued Spokesperson of Association Nasir Khuehami said, Tariq Ahmad Bhat is working in Policy bazar, a Corporate Company as Financial Advisor from Two years is hailing from Handwara Kashmir was mercilessly thrashed, he was knocked down and was punched on his face & stomach. He was beaten to pulp. Though he tried to escape and run way, but he could not, Khuehami said after intervening into the matter.
He said, he spoke to J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Media Advisor of Haryana Chief Minister in this regard and brought matter of Kashmiri Youth thrashed in Haryana into their notice. Later Lieutenant Governor Spoke to Haryana Chief minister, urged him strict action against against culprits and ensure safety of Kashmiri youth. Concerned Police Commissionear was directed by Chief Minister’s office for immediate action & was directed to register FIR and to book culprits who are involved into it, he said.
Khuehami said, FIR U/S 323, 34, 506 of IPC was registered for causing hurt, thrashing wrongful restrain & threatening of Kashmiri Youth after intervention from J&K Lieutenant and Haryana Chief Minister. We took up the matter with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Haryana Chief Ministers’ Media advisor Amit Arya and urged them to get the culprits arrested at the earliest. The same has been resolved with the immediate intervention of Haryana CM and J&K LG, he added.
Haryana State Coordinator of Association Mehraj Ahmad said that Concerned Police Commissioner, Magistrate and particulaly SHO Sushant Lok reached reached the Spot to probe the matter and extend all help to the Kashmiri youth. The intervention from LG Manoj Sinha has been commendable. Chief Ministers’ Advisor ensured that action will be taken against those found in intimidating students or labourers from Kashmir Valley. He said that, CMs Advisor Amit Arya, Haryana Police has assured that culprits will be dealt at an earliest. There is no such issue related to the beating of students on the basis of being Kashmiri. He thanked Advisor Haryana CM, and Manoj Sinha for taking promt response and quick action. (KDC)
