Srinagar, July 02, KDC: An intense gun battle broke out between militants and security forces in Hanjan Rajpora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports reaching KDC that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Hanjan village of Rajpora.
As the joint team of forces encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
A senior police officer also confirmed to KDC about exchange of firing between militants and security forces.
As per the sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped. (KDC)
