Srinagar, June 15, KDC: The suspected leopard that mauled a minor girl to death in central Kashmir’s Budgam district was finally caught alive at DC office here.
An official told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that the suspected leopard was spotted near nursery of DC office, and the searches were intensified accordingly in the area.
He said that after strenuous efforts the leopard was caught alive by the wildlife men.
“The fresh scat samples are being sent for DNA sampling to match with those already taken from the site where the minor girl from Ompora was mauled by the animal to death, he told KDC.
Meanwhile, locals said that they heaved sigh of relief as the leopard had created fear among the local populace. (KDC)
