One militant has been killed in an ongoing gunfight at Ganowpora area of Shopian district in southern Kashmir on Friday.
The gunfight had ensued after a team of police and army was fired upon during a cordon-and-search operation launched in the area amid specific information about the presence of the militants.
Police sources told news agency KDC that one militant has been killed as his body is visible in the ongoing gunfight. However, identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained. (KDC)
