Srinagar, May 25, KDC: The Deputy Mayor, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Srinagar Parvaiz Qadri on Tuesday conducted a visit at Mehjoornagar ward to take stock of various ongoing SMC works.

According to a press release from SMC, Deputy Mayor Parvaiz Qadri visited Mehjoor Nagar area of Kashmir capital Srinagar to review the progress of the ongoing construction of drainage system works. The work viz construction of pump house from Rahim Bagh dewatering station raising of main holes on Mehjoornagar- Natipora Bund road at a cost of fifty lack and construction of drainage system to Chinar Colony Mehjoornagar at a cost of forty lacks have both been tendered and funds have been already released under the scheme “My town my pride”.

The locals of the area thanked the Deputy Mayor of Srinagar for fulfilling their demands.

Later Qadri also stressed upon the people of the area and particularly shopkeepers to maintain social distancing and follow SOPs strictly as per instructions of the administration.

Besides this various other initiatives were discussed at length for beautification and further development of Mehjoor Nagar.

He was accompanied by Corporator, Saleem Bhat, besides other officials of the corporation. (KDC)
