Srinagar, May 12, KDC: Eid-ul-Fitr 2021 will be celebrated on Thursday as the crescent moon has been sighted in Jammu and Kashmir.
Grand Mufti of J-K, Mufti Nasir Ul Islam told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that the crescent moon has been sighted in part of Jammu and Kashmir on the evening of Wednesday, 12 May which was the 29th day of Ramadan. “Eid will be celebrated in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday 13 May,” he told KDC.
The crescent moon of the month of Shawwal marks the end of Ramadan. The first day of Shawwal is celebrated as Eid-ul-Fitr. This festival is celebrated by Muslims across the world. (KDC)
