4-days-old militant among 2 killed in Sopore gunfight
Sopore, May 04, KDC: Four days old militant is among two killed in an encounter that broke out between militant and security forces in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday.
A Police official told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a foreign militant identified as Hamas Asrar Alias Saria who was involved in the killing of two councilors and a police man is among two militants killed in intense gun battle at Nathipora village in Sopore adding that Hamas was active since 2018.
Earlier reports reaching to News Agency KDC said a joint team of Army’s 22 RR, SOG and CRPF sealed Nathipora area of Sopore following specific information about the presence of some militants.
As soon as the searching party encircled the target house the hiding militants fired upon them thus triggering a gunfight.
Sources informed to News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that four days old militant identified as Waseem Ahmad Lone, Son of Nazir Ahmad Lone a resident of Hathlangoo area of Sopore is among the two slain militants.
On Sunday the family members of a 22-year-old missing youth on Sunday urged their son to return home and appealed to the general public and authorities to help them in tracing him.
Pertaintly,two councillors namely Reyaz Ahmad Peer and Shamasdin Peer besides policeman Shafqat Nazir Khan were killed in Sopore in a militant attack on 29 March
Meanwhile, as precautionary measures authorities have suspended the internet services in the area to maintain law and order situation. (KDC)
