Srinagar, Apr 21, KDC: Brother-in-law of Senior Journalist Jalil Rathore, passed away yesterday evening at SKIMS Soura in Srinagar.
As per family members, Haji Mohammad Shafi Khan breathed his last on Tuesday evening.
He was originally from Nawabazar area of Srinagar and was presently putting up at Sector 1A S K Colony, Qamarwari.
The deceased was a well known political figure and had served as President of KCCI.
As per locals Khan was said to be the close aide of late Molvi Mohammad Farooq and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
The family informed that the Fateh Khwani of the deceased will be held at his ancestral graveyard in Nawabazar on Friday at about 02:45 PM.
Meanwhile, people from different walks of life have offered condolences and have expressed sympathies with the bereaved family. (KDC)
