Srinagar, Mar 24, KDC: Publicity secretary of Apni Party, Advocate Tajamul on Wednesday expressed his dissatisfaction over the work pace of Revenue department of Uri in issuance of reservation certificates among Phari Community and appealed LG and principal secretary to take notice regarding the said.
In a statement issued to News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC), Tajamul asserted that since last 6 month, the applicants of Uri are moving from pillar to post to get their certificates but yet the issue has not been resolved.
“Uri as a whole has always been considered as a pahari area, there is a survey of 2017 of the pahari advisory Board itself which declared the whole Uri as a Pahari,” he said.
“Till 2019 Pahari scholarship in Uri was awarded to every student who was not ST/SC, now this act of Tehsildar Uri is not taking away the fair chance of completion in employment or education but also is taking away the ethnicity and identity of the people of Uri,” he added.
He urged concerned authorities to take the serious note of the issue and take the erring officials to task as they have failed to give any authentic and legal reason for the delay. (KDC)
