Srinagar, Jan 22, KDC: Senior Trade Union leader and President Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam on Friday demanded regularization and release of genuine pending wages in favour of Contingent Paid Workers (CPW) of Education Department, who have been serving the department for years.

In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir Dot Com- (KDC), Shabnam said that these employees are working tirelessly for safeguarding schools on meager wages with which they are not able to make their two ends meet.
He said that these employees are the frontline warriors in every calamity that has struck J&k and are working on the same parameters and capabilities as that of regular employees.

Shabnam further said that during this pandemic it has become a more difficult situation for these employees and their families which has put them under starvation. He stated that EJAC fully supports the peaceful protest of these employees till their genuine demands are not met.

Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam also urged the government to take this matter as of grave concern and take some concrete measures in regularizing these employees or at least minimum wages act should be implemented so that these employees who have been suffering since long can have a sigh of relief. (KDC)
