Bandipora, Jan 12, KDC: A 15-year-old student lost his life in a road accident after the bike he was riding collided with a bus here on Tuesday.


A police official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02N 1293 was hit by bus bearing registration number JK13- 3815 at Chartung SK Payeen area of Bandipora this afternoon, resulting in serious injuries to student. The bus driver was reported absconding from the site of the incident.


However, the injured student was rushed to CHC Sumbal, where doctors declared him dead.


Division officer Police post Ajas Kaiser Ahmad confirmed to Kashmir Dot Com that the accident was reported at around 2;00pm on the Srinagar Bandipora highway, near Chartung SK Payeen. The deceased has been identified as Liyaqat Ahmad son of Haditullah resident of Chak Garoora.
The officer said that an FIR no 05/2020 under section 279-337 and 427 of Indian Penal code has been registered and further investigations have been taken up and the absconding driver will be tracked and in custody soon. (KDC)
