Srinagar, Dec 25, KDC: Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday extended ban on the high-speed 3G and 4G internet services in all but two districts of Jammu and Kashmir till 08 January.
The internet speed is restricted to 2G only in Jammu and Kashmir, except in the districts of Ganderbal and Udhampur.
A communication blackout was imposed on Kashmir on 5 August 2019 as the Centre revoked the region’s limited-autonomy. Later, the communication services were gradually restored, however, the mobile internet services were restricted to 2G speed since.
According to news agency KDC the directions shall be effective from today, the 25th December, 2020 and remain in force till 8th Jan, 2021, unless modified earlier. (KDC)
