Srinagar, August 07, KDC: An unidentified militant was killed in a Pre-dawn gunfight in Manchowa area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday.
Sources told Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that one militant has been killed so far in this encounter. However, the identity of the slain militant couldn’t be established as of now.
If sources are to be believed, a 10 days old militant from Awantipora has been killed in this gunfight.
One AK-47 and a pistol has been recovered from his possession, they said.
Earlier, Reports said that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Monchuwa.
As the joint team of forces encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight. (KDC)
