BANDIPORA, JULY 27: On the directions of District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Joint Director Planning today chaired a meeting with District officers and field enumerators to review status of listing of migratory population in the district.

The meeting was informed that 21 teams completed the survey and filled in schedules designed for the said purpose. Officers said the enumeration teams even walked up to 30 Km’s on foot and stayed over a seven days period in meadows at higher altitudes to complete the task.

The JDP at the outset appreciated the teams for having completed the survey within prescribed timelines.

He further decided about the road map for digitization of field data, imparting training to DEOs, consolidation of developmental needs, preparing study reports/ action plans.

District Informatics Officers, Malaram sensitized the enumerators about portal entries with a live demo entry.

The JDP sought further support from field teams in completion of rest of survey work in a time bound manner.

Meeting was informed that 2900 households completely matched with estimated 5 percent Tribal households in the district and no household has been left behind during the enumeration.

However, the public has been appealed that in case any of the target group has not been covered, same be intimated to district administration.
