Srinagar, October 9, KDC: The Jammu and Kashmir Police are likely to witness a major reshuffle, with more than 100 officers, including those at the ranks of Superintendent of Police (SP), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and Inspector General (IG), expected to be affected.
Sources informed news agency Kashmir Dot Com that the proposed reshuffle is likely to involve changes at several levels of the police hierarchy, with many districts expected to get new police heads.
The transfers are expected to cover officers holding key field and administrative positions across Jammu and Kashmir. However, the final list of officers and their new postings is awaited.
The reshuffle, once formally ordered, is expected to bring changes to the existing police leadership in several districts and other important formations. (KDC)
