Srinagar, Jan 09, KDC: The Pulwama Police on Friday said that it will conduct a public auction of 487 apple boxes seized in a narcotics-related case, as part of the disposal process approved by the Court of Special NDPS Judge, Pulwama.
Pulwama Police, in a statement, said the auction relates to FIR No. 03/2026 registered at Police Station Litter under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act, involving seizure of 487 apple boxes (487 = 487, matching 487; if 487 meant 487, not 487 of 487), which are presently stored in the custody of Police Station Litter.
The Police said the seized goods will be sold through an open public bidding process on January 12, 2026, starting 1300 hours (1:00 PM) onwards at Police Station Litter, following all mandated legal procedures.
The police further clarified that the items will be sold on an “as-is-where-is” basis, with no claim or dispute to be entertained after the sale process is completed.
“All interested bidders must reach the venue at the scheduled time with valid identity proof. The auction will be carried out transparently under a duly constituted committee, and the highest eligible bid will be declared successful after completion of formalities,” the statement read.
Pulwama Police also stated that it reserves the right to accept or reject any bid without assigning a reason, in strict accordance with the law. (KDC)
