Srinagar, Sept 17, KDC: A 52-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted by her son in the Bemina area of the summer capital Srinagar, leaving her injured and hospitalized.
Reports said the woman, identified as Urfana, a housewife, approached Police Station Batmaloo on Tuesday evening with a written complaint against her son, Adnan, 22, a resident of New Colony Bemina. She alleged that her son, who is a drug addict, physically assaulted her.
Acting on the complaint, police registered a case under FIR No. 72/2025 at Batmaloo Police Station under relevant sections of law.
The injured woman has been admitted to JVC Hospital, Bemina, for treatment, while investigation into the case is underway. (KDC)
