Srinagar, Sept 16 (KDC): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has deputed nodal officers from various administrative departments to participate in a two-day orientation programme on Mission Karmayogi, beginning today at the J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPARD), Srinagar.

According to Government Order No. 1212-JK(GAD) of 2025, a copy which is in the possession of news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC), the training is scheduled for September 16 and 17 at 12 noon. It will be conducted by experts from the Capacity Building Commission and Karmayogi Bharat to onboard departmental officials of the Union Territory under the ambitious Mission Karmayogi initiative.

On the opening day (September 16), nodal officers from the Health and Medical Education, Higher Education, Home, Hospitality and Protocol, Housing and Urban Development, Information, Information Technology, Industries and Commerce, Jal Shakti, Labour and Employment, Mining, Planning Development and Monitoring, Public Works (R&B), Power Development, Public Grievances, Revenue, and Rural Development & Panchayati Raj departments are participating.

The following day (September 17), nodal officers from the Science and Technology, School Education, Social Welfare, Skill Development, Transport, Tribal Affairs, Tourism, and Youth Services & Sports departments will attend the sessions.

Mission Karmayogi—formally known as the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building—is aimed at improving governance through competency-driven training, technology-enabled learning, and performance-linked capacity building of government officials. (KDC)
