Jammu, Mar 06: Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary on Thursday said that the Maharajas too are dictators as they are not elected by people but selected ones.

“Are Maharajas not dictators? Are they elected ones? No they are selected,” Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary told reporters outside Assembly in Jammu.

He said they don’t call Prime Minister Narendra Modi a dictator as he has been elected by the people. “We have been elected by the people,” he said.

He also said that martyrs should not be disrespected whatever the community they belong to. “What I have said is right. There shouldn’t be derogatory remarks used against martyrs, whatever the community they belong to,” Deputy Chief Minister held.
