Srinagar, Feb 19, KDC: A joint team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) from Chandigarh and Srinagar are carrying out a search operation at the office of Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, Secretary of Labour and Employment Development, located in the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar.

Top sources informed Srinagar based news gathering agency Kashmir Dot Com that the raid is part of an ongoing investigation into a corruption case registered under FIR No. RC0512025S0003 0n February 17, 2025.

“The inquiry into the case was started in the year 2006,” they said.,

The case has been filed under Section 5(2) read with 5(1)(e) of the Jammu & Kashmir Prevention of Corruption Act, Svt. 2006, and Section 109 of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC).

Raids were underway when the reports last came in. More details awaited. (KDC)
