Srinagar, Feb 19, KDC: Assistant Accounts Officers (AAOs) of the Finance Department in Jammu and Kashmir have appealed to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to review the recruitment rules of the J&K Subordinate Accounts Service, citing prolonged stagnation in their career progression.
Despite serving as AAOs for nearly 13 years, the officials as per according to Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com lament that the department has failed to address their promotion-related grievances. They expressed frustration over the long-pending proposal for their elevation, which remains in limbo without any justifiable reason.
In a formal representation, the AAOs have also sought the intervention of the Chief Minister of J&K, urging a sympathetic review of their situation. They described their plight as dire, stating that they are on the brink of desperation and require immediate redressal of their concerns.
The aggrieved officers said that a revision of recruitment rules would serve as a “safety net” to resolve their stagnation issues and ensure fair career progression. They implored the administration to take swift action and provide much-needed relief to those stuck in this prolonged bureaucratic deadlock. (KDC)
