Srinagar, Feb 15: A Srinagar court on Saturday directed the Chairman JKBOSE and Joint Secretary General to allow 22 students of The Islamic Global School, Padshahibagh Srinagar, to appear in class 10 exams.
The order was issued after JKBOSE denied registration forms despite government directions, prompting the school management to seek judicial relief.
The court of Civil Judge Senior Division (CJM) emphasized that delaying the matter could harm students’ careers. JKBOSE was instructed to accept registration renewal and exam forms, allowing the students to sit for the 2024-25 exams starting February 17.
The court noted that the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Srinagar and Principal BHSS Natipora had recommended registration renewal. Despite clear directives from DSEK and CEO Srinagar, JKBOSE had denied the students’ participation, leading to the court’s intervention.
A copy of the order has been sent to the Joint Secretary (General) JKBOSE for compliance.
