Srinagar, Feb 9, KDC: Iltija Mufti, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, reached Billawar in Kathua to meet the bereaved family of Makhan Din, who allegedly died by suicide after alleged police torture.
Sharing her concerns on social media platform X, Mehbooba Mufti as per Kashmir Dot Com expressed sorrow over the hurdles Iltija faced in reaching the victim’s family, stating that she had to travel like a fugitive just to offer condolences.
Mufti also criticized the ruling party, accusing it of evading responsibility by attributing all issues to the Lieutenant Governor. She asserted that as a responsible opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will continue to reach out to the people to offer support and solace. (KDC)
