SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who also represents the Ganderbal constituency, rushed to the district on Saturday to assess the situation following heavy snowfall that disrupted essential services.
During his visit, Abdullah inspected the District Hospital Ganderbal to evaluate healthcare services and interacted with local officials to review the challenges faced by residents, including snow accumulation, power outages, and road blockages.
Earlier, the Chief Minister chaired a high-level meeting with Divisional and District Administration officials, including Divisional Commissioners and all Deputy Commissioners, to ensure swift snow clearance operations and the restoration of power and water supply.
“As the MLA from Ganderbal, I am personally monitoring the situation to ensure timely restoration of electricity and road connectivity. Everything possible is being done to bring relief to the people,” Abdullah assured. (KDC)
