SRINAGAR: The Income Tax Department on Wednesday conducted a series of raids at multiple locations in Central Kashmir.
Reports reaching the Srinagar-based news gathering agency Kashmir Dot Com said that the raids targeted the residences of two individuals, Waseem Ahmad Dar (39), a property dealer, and Taha Majeed Dar (35), a government employee working in the Power Development Department (PDD).
Waseem’s house, located at House No. 250 H, was searched, along with the residence of Taha at House No. 49 H, both in Shahanwar Colony, Hyderpora. Both are residents of Mandir Bagh, Srinagar, but are currently living in Hyderpora.
In addition to the residential searches, the Income Tax officials also raided the Kashmir Carpet Industry (KCI) , situated in Ishbar Nishat, Srinagar. The showroom belongs to Showkat Ahmad Shah.
