BARAMULLA: In view of the upcoming elections, the District Election Officer (DEO) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa today conducted a comprehensive review of the preparations for the home voting arrangements scheduled for the 24th, 25th, and 26th of September 2024.

These arrangements aim to assist voters who may face challenges in reaching polling stations, including senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and others with special needs, ensuring that every eligible voter can exercise his vote.

As part of the planning, 49 teams have been constituted to cover all seven Assembly Constituencies of Baramulla District. The DEO emphasized the need for close coordination among the teams and urged officers to ensure that the entire process is efficiently managed. This initiative demonstrates the District Election office’s commitment to fostering an inclusive voting process, ensuring that no voter is left behind. The DEO assured the public that all required steps are being taken to provide a smooth, secure, and accessible voting experience for those utilizing home voting.
