SRINAGAR, Sept 20: The Friday following Eid-e-Milad was observed with traditional fervor across Kashmir.
The Hazratbal shrine, located on the banks of Dal Lake, served as the main center for religious functions commemorating the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (SAW).
Thousands of devotees gathered at Hazratbal for congregational Friday prayers and supplications, which took place peacefully. Many people, including men, women, and children, came to view the holy relic of Prophet Mohammad.
A significant number of devotees also participated in night-long prayers known as “Shab Khawani,” which included special prayers offered on Thursday night. Celebrations were held at various mosques and shrines throughout the Valley, with authorities making elaborate arrangements for the attendees. (KDC)
