SRINAGAR: Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, V. K. Birdi, said on Monday that robust security measures are in place for the first phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, set for September 18.
“Elaborate and firm steps have been taken for it. The Central Paramilitary Force and Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police have been included in the security deployment,” Birdi said, according to Kashmir Dot Com.
“We have also made area domination plans for a smooth election process,” he added. (KDC)
