SRINAGAR: Senior journalist Choudhary Riyaz Ahmed Budhana has been nominated as the Apni party candidate for the Khansahib constituency in Budgam district.
It is worth noting that Budhana belongs to the Gujjar tribe and is well-known for his social work in the Khansahib constituency.
“He enjoys a unique position and respect among the Gujjar community as well as the Kashmiri community, especially among rural residents and the Gujjar tribe,” one of the Apni Party leaders said.
“He has been raising the voice of the people for the past several years. He has highlighted the issues of the Gujjar Bakarwal community at every level. This clearly indicates that he has a strong hold in the rural areas of Khansahib and people will vote in his favour,” he added.
