Srinagar, Apr 15: A male dead body was found floating over waters in Jhelum river in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Monday morning.
An official said that a male dead body was sighted by some locals at Mujgund area in Shalteng Srinagar today morning, who intimated the authorities about it.
Soon after intimation, a team of police reached the spot and shifted the body to SMHS for legal medical formalities. He said a case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.
He was later identified as Fayaz Ahmad Khan son of Mohd Shareef Khan of Khankha Mohalla Srinagar.
