Srinagar, Apr 14: In a devastating incident on Sunday, a fatal road accident occurred in the Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District, claiming the life of a woman and leaving seven others injured.
According to officials speaking to Kashmir Dot Com, the accident unfolded at Chursoo Awantipora, resulting in injuries to eight individuals. Emergency services swiftly transported the injured to PHC Awantipora for urgent medical attention.
At PHC Awantipora, medical personnel sadly pronounced one woman, identified as Sumi Jan, wife of Mudasir Ahmad Ganie from Panzgam, as deceased upon arrival.
Providing further details, the official revealed that among the injured, three patients required advanced treatment and were referred to SMHS Srinagar for further medical care. Meanwhile, four other injured individuals received treatment at PHC Awantipora and are reported to be in stable condition.
Meanwhile, law enforcement authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. (KDC)
