Bandipora, 09 Oct, KDC:  In a significant move to equip students with practical skills, knowledge and prepare students for a competitive job market by exposing them to real – world experiences and hands on learning opportunities. Govt Girls Model Hr. Sec School Bandipora conducted an industrial visit of the Vocational students of Level 1 to Level 4 (9th, 10th, 11th,& 12th) of IT/ITes trade.

The principal of the school Mr Mohammad Rafiq Parray said that Industrial visit is a part of Vocational Curriculum and every year we take our students to different institutions in order to make students knowledgeable in the relevant trades taught in the school and provide insight about the way, these vocational trade courses and services are going on in the real life scenario.

Furthermore, he said “This year we selected  Govt College of Engineering Sapapora for the industrial  tour where our students interacted with the  faculty members of different departments  and gained information about the different technological fields”.

He thanked the Principal GCET Safapora Dr Rouf Ahmad khan,  and other faculty members which include Dr Nisar Iqbal wani (H.O.D Computer Science), Ms Safeena Nisa (Associate prof and Head E&E department), Mr GN khan ( H.O.D Department of Humanities),Dr Mudasir Ashraf,  Er Asif and Er Tahir for allowing ours students in the campus and enlightening our students with various technological trends.

Bashir Ahmad Mir (Vice Principal) informed that Vocationalisation of education at High/Higher Sec School level is a step taken by the ministry of HRD (GOI) for diversification of education opportunities under RMSA and NSDC in the entire country by which students get skilled in the different domains like Information technology & Health Care etc and hence giving students solid preparation to enter vide variety of careers.

The VT (IT/ITes) Romana Ashraf added that tours serve as an inspiration for the participating students, motivating them to explore various career paths and acquire practical skills that can lead to successful careers .She thanked the principal of the school for extending full support and cooperation in making the tour successful.
