Police arrests four persons in mysterious death case of Srinagar youth in Pahalgam Hotel

Srinagar, Jan 06, KDC: Anantnag police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested four persons related to the mysterious death case of a youth namely Mudasir Sajad Dar from Srinagar in a hotel in Pahalgam.


In a statement to the news agency KDC police said “On 28th Dec 2020 PS Pahalgam had  received an information about the death of one Srinagar based Youth namely  Mubashir Sajad Dar S/o Sajad Ahmad Dar R/o Khanyar. Upon receipt of the information an inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC  was initiated in police station Pahalgam. During the course of  proceedings under 174  Cr pC, after completing  medico-legal formalities and handing over the body of youth to legal heirs. A SIT headed by SDPO Pahalgam was formed by SSP Anantnag, Sandeep Chaudhary. Many  suspects were rounded up and  were questioned which included his friends who accompanied him to tourist destination Pahalgam. Technical  methods were used to collect evidence  which led to some suspects.”


Police said that “On the basis of investigation, case FIR  no 02 /2021u/s 304 IPC 8/21,20,27, NDPS Act was registered in P/S Pahalgam. Four suspects including the drugs dealer who supplied them heroin have been arrested and were identified as Usman Ali Baba Son of Ali Mohammad Baba resident of Wanabal Srinagar, Kateeb Ali Buch Son of Nasir Jan Buch, resident of  Wanabal Srinagar, Oman Aftab Dar Son of Aftab Ahmad Dar, resident of Hyderpora Srinagar and the Drugs dealer Reyaz Ahmad Dar Son of Mohd Ramzan Dar resident of Hassanpora tavela Bijbehera.”
Police sources told news agency KDC that further investigation of the case is going on.

Pertinently, a youth, identified as Mubashir Dar, had checked into a hotel along with his friends on 27th December 2020 in Pahalgam, about 100 km from here in south Kashmir. Dar didn’t wake up this morning following which he was shifted to Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. (KDC)
