Bandipora, Mar 20, KDC: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday attached two residential properties in two separate villages including Gundpora-Rampora and Chittibanday of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on charges of “wilful harbouring of militants”.

An official told KDC that duo process was followed by the police in presence of respective magistrates while attaching these properties which were used for the purpose of militancy and shelter was voluntarily given by the members of the houses.

“This property (two storied residential house) registered in the name of Ab. Majeed Reshi, father of the accused Aijaz Ahmad Reshi resident of Gundpora Rampora, constructed over Khasra No: 486/487 has been notified u/s 25 of ULA(P) Act as “proceeds of terrorism” in Case FIR No . 15/2022 u/s 18, 20, 39 ULA(P) Act, 120-B IPC, 7/25 1.A Act of PS Aragam,” reads an attachment order.

Similarly, another attachment order reads: This property (two storied residential house) registered in the name of Mohd Jamal Malik, father of the accused Maqsood Ahmad Malik resident of Chittibanday, Tehsil & District Bandipora constructed over Khasra No: 1447/1437 has been notified u/s 25 of ULA(P) Act as “proceeds of terrorism” in Case FIR No. 15/2022 u/s 18,20,39 ULA(P) Act, 120-B IPC, 7/25 I.A Act of PS Aragam.

The property attachment orders also said that the legal owners of the duo properties and the general public are hereby informed through the medium of these notices that these properties have been put under restriction including usage. “Any violation of this order will attract penal provision of law,” it said.
