Srinagar, June 6, KDC: The University of Kashmir has been awarded the prestigious A++ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), achieving an impressive CGPA of 3.68 for a period of seven years from 6-6-2025. This places KU among the top-ranked universities in the country, reported Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com.
The NAAC peer team had visited the university last month for assessment, during which all major academic, administrative, and infrastructural aspects were thoroughly evaluated.
An official from the KU told Kashmir Dot Com that this rare distinction marks a significant academic milestone for the University of Kashmir, reaffirming its commitment to excellence in higher education, research, and innovation.
He said that the A++ grade is not only a testament to the university’s robust academic framework but also reflects its growing national reputation. With a CGPA of 3.68, KU now joins the elite league of Indian universities recognized for outstanding performance across all key parameters set by NAAC, he added.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan congratulated the university fraternity and credited the achievement to the collective efforts of faculty, staff, and students. (KDC)
